The volume of production of vegetable oil in Ukraine has increased

The Ukrainian state statistical service informs that in January-April 2017 the production of unrefined oil increased by 31% compared with the same time in 2016 and exceeded 1.9 million tons.It is reported that 455 thousand tons of products were produced in April. This is 12% less than in March, but 18% more than in 2016. Growth in vegetable fat production became possible due to an increase in the sunflower crop area, a good harvest last year, and the build-up of processing capacity by producers.Gosstat says that due to the increase in the amount of unrefined oil, it was possible to increase the production of food margarines and fats by 31.2% compared to the same period in 2016. To date, produced 74.3 thousand tons of products. And this means that there will be no deficit in the confectionery, pharmacological, cosmetic and paint industries. In April 2017, 1.5% less margarines and fats were produced than in March, but the total number was 19.6 thousand tons, which is 44.9% more than in the same period in 2016.UNIAN claims that in 2016 unrefined vegetable oil was produced in Ukraine by 20.2% more than in 2015. The total number was 4.4 million tons. But the same agency notes that the production of edible fats and margarines fell by 13.6% and amounted to 184 thousand tons.Ukraine is the undisputed leader in the export of unrefined oil. The products meet the highest European standards of the standard and are in great demand all over the world. Association "Ukroliyaprom" informs that last year a huge amount of natural product - 4.8 million tons - was exported. The figures are impressive: this is 23% more than in 2015. The industry brings a huge profit even in the conditions of crisis phenomena in the world market. In 2015, from the sale of unrefined oil, Ukraine received 4.2 billion dollars, and in 2016 this amount was 4.8 billion in hard currency.
