The long-awaited rainfall replenished the moisture reserves in the soil

The last decade of June was characterized by a comparatively temperature-sensitive weather. Average daily air temperatures in the first half of the decade exceeded the norm by 3-6 ° C, and in the second, on the contrary, were below the norm by 2-4 ° C or corresponded to it, amounting to 10.7-26.5 ° C.The maximum air temperature in the warmest days at the beginning of the decade increased to 33-34 ° C, and the surface of the soil at this time was heated to 57-62 ° C, the minimum during the cold nights decreased to 8.1-13.0 ° C.Throughout the country, with the exception of parts of the southern and eastern regions, there have been thunderstorms, which were of a stormy nature, and their number was distributed unevenly from 3.5 to 240 mm. Precipitation has somewhat replenished the moisture reserves of the soil and contributed to the better transfer of previous arid phenomena by late spring crops. However, they had a positive effect on the filling of winter wheat grains of late and late varieties, especially in the fields where optimal feeding and care of crops was provided. At the same time, in winter wheat varieties, which already have almost full ripeness, these deposits can worsen the quality of the grain. The state of maize crops is mostly good. A significant decrease in air temperature reduced the intensity of the processes of growth and development of culture. In places in the northwestern, central and southern regions, the daytime wilting of plants was noted. In the case of sunflower plants, a massive appearance of inflorescences was noted, and in some crops of southern regions flowering began. In some areas of southern regions, there was a day wilting of plants, yellowing of the leaves of the lower tier and damage to plants by diseases.
