China intends to launch large-scale production of sunflower oil in Kazakhstan

In October-November this year. the Chinese company intends to launch a large-scale production of unrefined sunflower oil in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. This July 26 portal Atameken Business Channel reported.According to the report, the capacity of the plant for processing sunflower seeds will be 300 tons per day, and the expected production of unrefined oil per year - up to 30 thousand tons. It is noted that all products (sunflower oil and oil cake) will be fully supplied to the Chinese market. According to the general director of LLP "Greenland Invest" Zhang Yan Qiu, the volume of investment in production will be $ 1.5 million. In addition, due to the state, the enterprise intends to build a transmission line worth 150 million tenge."In the next stages, it is planned to start the production of refined oil, then the investor plans to process flax and rape for oil. The total amount of investments has not yet been announced. Raw materials are planned to be purchased throughout Kazakhstan, "said Ruslan Tleulesov, Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Agriculture of the RK.In general, following the results of 2017, the supply of sunflower oil from Kazakhstan to China amounted to 27 thousand tons. Also recall that in the Pavlodar region in tg. 2101 thousand hectares were planted with oilseeds, which is 4.8 thousand ha more than last year. According to the Department of Agriculture of the region, in tg. 859 tons of sunflower oil has already been produced in the region.
