In connection with soil erosion, Ukrainian farmers lose a third of their income

According to Yaroslav Gadzalo, President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the introduction of environmentally friendly land use systems remains an acute problem in the country.According to him, the degradation processes of the soil are horrendous today. This is due to the huge degree of plowed land, strong saturation of sowing crops, non-compliance with standards and failure to implement a set of measures aimed at protecting the soil. Also, the president of the National Academy of Sciences noted that the dehumification of the soil, which has reached global proportions, and its erosion became especially dangerous.According to him, in the Ukrainian agricultural production as a result of erosion from every dollar of added value, the third part is lost, which is indicated in the World Bank data. Also, one ton of grain accounts for about 10 times more washed away as a result of soil erosion. Thus, says Gadzalo, without solving the problem of protecting the soil from erosion, sustainable development of this industry is impossible.
