The export of Ukrainian egg products in the first seven months of 2018 has tripled. This is connected with the increase in production, and with the demand for foreign markets. So says Sergey Karpenko, Executive Director of the Association of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine.According to him, exports amounted to 1.48 billion units of eggs (an increase of 75%). In 2018, it increased by 36%. This is due to the expansion of export geography (since last year, deliveries have been made to the EU countries) and the lifting of restrictions on exports from Ukraine.According to S. Karpenko, for the period from January to July this year, egg production increased by 2.6%.Also, according to him, most of the production of the product falls on April-September, and the decline in productivity for the autumn-winter, which is due to the fact that about half of the total volume is produced in the private sector. For this year, the forecast for the export of eggs is about 2 billion eggs and up to 9,000 tons of egg products.
